Xclusive Wedding Car FAQ
Xclusive Wedding Car are delighted to answer your questions about our chauffeur driven wedding car hire service, but to save time your most common questions and answers are listed below. If your question is not answered here please do not hesitate to contact us.

How many wedding cars do we need?
For a traditional wedding and where budget allows, at least 2 wedding cars may be required; the main bridal car for the bride and her father traveling to the wedding venue; the second wedding car for the mother of the bride and bridesmaids. If two cars are booked, after the wedding ceremony the bride and groom would leave the church in the main bridal car and both sets of parents would share the second wedding car.
Depending on budget availability, a 3rd wedding limousine could accommodate the groom and best man, grandparents or other close family members in style on your special occasion. We can provide matching or coordinating wedding cars for multiple bookings to enhance your special day. We can also arrange for a super sports car (Ferrari or Maserati) for the groom to make his own grand entrance...
To assist you in planning your wedding cost effectively, Xclusive Wedding Car offer a discount on second and subsequent limousines booked at the same time for the same wedding. However we appreciate that many client’s budgets will not stretch to more than 1 or 2 cars and we are therefore happy to make more than one journey to the wedding venue.
What colour wedding car is best?
A white wedding car is the dream of many brides, but a white dress often does not show up well against white wedding cars. Your dress will often stand out better against a silver wedding car, so YOU remain the centre of attention. Similarly the brighter colours of Asian wedding attire often show up better against a light car.
Can we smoke in your wedding cars?
No smoking is allowed in any of our wedding cars.
How many weddings a day are booked per wedding car?
Only 1 wedding booking a day per car ensures we can provide optimum service with up to 3 hours waiting time, or up to 12 hours for an Asian wedding.
How much notice is required to book a wedding car?
The more the better. Rolls Royce Phantoms especially are in demand and get booked up quickly. Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis.
Can we view your wedding cars before we book with you?
All our cars are available for you to view by appointment.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
In the event of inclement weather - especially if you're hiring an open-top vehicle - umbrellas are provided. Our wedding cars are all modern vehicles, less than 4 years old, and so are all heated for comfort – especially important for a bride or bridesmaids wearing thin dresses. Blankets or wraps can be provided if needed.
Will the wedding cars be comfortable?
Our wedding cars are carefully chosen to ensure there is plenty of space for you to travel comfortably, especially in a voluminous wedding dress that take up a lot of room! Bear in mind however that whilst some vehicles like the Rolls Royce Phantom will seat 3 comfortably in the rear cabin, the bride’s dress may take up a lot more room and to ensure you arrive looking absolutely beautiful we would advise no more than two passengers occupy the rear cabin. An additional passenger can of course occupy the front seat.
Are your chauffeurs professionally trained?
Professionally trained drivers provide a reliable and punctual service. Sourced via the British Chauffeurs Guild our chauffeurs have a diploma of merit, private hire licence and receive security training. Our uniformed, well presented and experienced drivers are ready for any eventuality and can often ease wedding day tensions by arriving at the pick-up point with plenty of time to spare, ensuring that the wedding car is immaculately presented inside and out, that the route to the wedding venue has been well planned in advance and is also equipped with satellite navigation in case a detour is required due to traffic congestion.
What if a booked car is not available on the hire date?
Xclusive Wedding Car cars undergo rigorous inspection, preparation and maintenance in strict adherence to Rolls Royce servicing requirements. However, on the rare occasion that a problem occurs we immediately contact you and offer an alternative car. If you are not happy with the alternative and wish to cancel, we offer a full refund of all monies paid.
What do we get with a standard wedding car hire package?
- A professional, uniformed chauffeur
- A journey to the wedding for the bridesmaids etc
- A journey to the church for the bride
- A journey for bride and groom to the reception
- White or ivory floral and ribbon decorations
- Time for photography with the wedding car
- Up to 3 hours wait time (10-12 Asian weddings).
Note: Following the reception we can provide a further journey for the bride & groom to a hotel or airport for the honeymoon getaway as an option.
What happens in the event of a wedding car breakdown?
Choosing a chauffeured wedding car from a reputable company who will not let you down on your special day is an important decision and should be considered well in advance to ensure you not only get the vehicle of your choice (the best cars tend to go very fast) but also that your wedding car is fully insured and well maintained. All our cars (and chauffeurs) are fully insured and meticulously maintained.
Attention to regular, rigorous fleet maintenance ensures that breakdown is an unlikely event, but if a problem occurs a replacement will be provided. If time and and distance proves impractical for our back-up car, we have access to a network of limousine hirers to ensure your journey continues with the least possible delay or impact on the level of service expected.
Are your cars insured for weddings?
All of Xclusive Wedding Car cars have full comprehensive cover for social domestic and pleasure and private hire (weddings), plus full breakdown and accident emergency cover, plus public liability cover of £2,000,000.

Drivers are fully briefed in advance of your hire details and aim to arrive 15 minutes early at first pick-ups. To minimise delays we use 'Sat Nav' and mobile traffic reports, check for road works when route planning and monitor flight arrivals for airport transfer, ensuring you never have to wait for your car. However we cannot be responsible for unforeseen traffic conditions.
